Philosophy

Exemplifying ourimg_0482.jpg commitment to internationalism, academic excellence and belief in the importance of a well-rounded education, we integrate the academic curriculum with the development of lifelong skills, values and attributes so as to nurture the well-being and holistic development of our students.  It is our aim to provide a structured environment for each student to develop respect for the world's cultures and differing perspectives and to achieve full educational and personal potential in a constantly changing world.

Objectives

  • To develop students' knowledge and skills necessary for a successful post-secondary education 
  • To develop students enthusiasm for learning through independent, critical and creative thinking
  • To ensure that students' learn and use their own language and develop respect for themselves and other cultures through the school's curricular and co-curricular activities so as to help create a better understanding and respect for all people with whom they share the planet
  • To develop students' respect and care for the school environment and its surrounding community 
  • To improve students' achievements based on data gathered through internal and external assessments
  • To develop students as holistic thinkers who are knowledgeable, with the skills, attitudes and values required of responsible citizens in the global community
  • To further develop the school's facilities, including its buildings, to support students' learning, physical and mental development
  • To further create a safe, secure, and healthy environment for the whole school community
  • To create an environment of mutual respect and open communication where everyone within the community is treated with respect, empathy, and integrity
  • To value all students equally whatever the differences in their abilities, behaviours, background, and beliefs
  • To encourage self-development and lifelong learning in all members of the community
  • To develop confident students who exercise their right to express their opinions and exchange information in a safe environment
  • To develop students’ personality, talents, mental and physical abilities through the school’s curricular and co-curricular activities
  • To remain up to date with all current educational and technological developments for developing learners who are capable of facing the challenges of the twenty first century

Beliefs

  • Each student deserves an excellent academic education
  • Bridging the gap between a child's potential and his/her actual achievement is our constant challenge and commitment
  • Students should have a clear understanding that knowledge, excellence, hard work,  and integrity are the fundamentals for future success
  • A community that encourages self-development and lifelong learning, benefits both the individual and the global community as a whole
