School Advisory Board

The School Advisory Board (SAB) at Jeddah Knowledge International School (JKS) was established in 2008. 

The general responsibilities of the board are as follows:

  • to maintain a clear statement of the school’s Philosophy, Objectives and Beliefs and to work with the Executive Director in partnership to fulfill these principles, while adhering to boundaries between the board and the administration;

  • to review and maintain procedures and establish policies and procedures that are consistent with the school’s mission;

  • to evaluate itself and the Executive Director and establish goals for each upcoming year;

  • to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as outlined by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education;

  • to develop itself through ongoing education, and leadership training.

The 12-member School Advisory Board meets four times per year. Board meetings allow for communication among trustees to reflect on the Executive Report issued quarterly by the school’s Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure that the school is indeed meeting the diverse needs of all stakeholders.
