Our professional academic staff consists of qualified, experienced and highly dedicated teachers representing 20 different nationalities. The school provides maximum opportunities for continued professional development through IB workshops worldwide, in addition to our in-house workshops run by qualified IB leaders.
Our school facilities are built according to international specifications. The buildings are fully air-conditioned and equipped with security cameras throughout the classrooms and campus. JKS, which offers a broad academic curriculum with English as the language of instruction, strives for academic excellence, supported by a co-curricular program to develop holistic learners. Students eligible for a high school diploma at JKS must, as a minimum, satisfactorily complete the requirements as outlined in American Diploma Graduation Requirements. Students entering the IB Diploma Programme will be offered the courses listed in the IB Diploma Programme Courses.
In addition, students must complete all prescribed internal examinations and standard examinations (e.g. PSAT, SAT I, SAT II), and are encouraged to take other English proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL, if required, to be eligible for graduation.
In the interests of the holistic development of the student, the school offers numerous extra-curricular and co-curricular activities throughout the year which promote physical, emotional and social growth. The school offers an extensive After School Activity Program. JKS also involves students in many sporting, cultural and academic activities which link directly to the curriculum including Sports Day, Student Open Days, United Nations Day, Annual Book Fair, International School Library Month, Year Group Productions, 100th Day in School, Earth Day, field trips, Model United Nations, Student Council, Prefect System and various exhibitions.
